Sudan Plated Lizards are a terrestrial species that can get 18-28” native to Eastern and Southeastern Africa. Due to their size they will need a large enclosure. Sudan Plated Lizards can live 10-15+ years making them a big commitment pet. These lizards are best suited as display animals as they can be skittish and tend to flee. However, with immense patience, owners can build trust and tame them for hand or tong-feeding. Also with patient, consistent handling, they can be tamed and will often tolerate interaction.
