Moroccan uromastyx are a terrestrial species that can get 12-18” native to North Africa. Due to their size they will need a large enclosure. Moroccans can live 15-30 years making them a big commitment pet. They are generally docile, highly alert lizards with distinct, inquisitive personalities. While calmer once established, they can be skittish as babies or when settling in. They tolerate gentle handling but are best enjoyed as "look-but-don't-touch" pets.
