Hissing cockroaches are very easy to care for roaches and make great beginner pets. They get about 3" long and eat a wide variety of fruits and veggies such as (washed and peeled) apples, pears, berries, carrots, lettuces, dry chicken bones, Repashy Bug Burger, and much more! They like medium humidity of about 60% and appreciate having their terrarium sprayed down regularly. They are slow to reproduce with a gestation period of about six months, then take a further six months to reach sexual maturity! They live for about 4 years and are happy to live in colonies.
