Green Iguanas are an arboreal species that can get 4-6’ originate from Central and South America and Caribbean but due to the pet trade and releases, they are found in parts of Florida, Texas, and Hawaii. Due to their size they will need a large enclosure. These lizards can live 15-25+ years making them a big commitment pet. Though they can be very fast and skittish as babies, with proper handling, Iguanas can make great pets due to their intelligent docile nature. These lizards are best suitable for experienced keepers as they can become aggressive or territorial if not handled correctly.
