Hyalinobatrachium fleischmanni 'Fleischmann's Glass Frogs'

These are the cutest most adorable tiny frogs (~1 inch). They were healthy at time of purchase, and took about one day to adjust to new environment. Now they enjoy snoozing on the undersides of leaves all day, and leaping at food at night. Or just chillin. The photos don’t quite do them justice, with light green bodies, yellow-green leopard spots flecked in tiny beige specks, and darker grey-green speckles in between the light green spots. The eyes look so curious and alert. I think the only drawback to these beauties is that they’re hard to sex before maturity, and since males are territorial you need to be cautious about the number of froggies you get (ideally 1 male and a couple females). Reptile Rapture was incredibly helpful with the entire process, discussing their tree frogs over the phone ahead of time, reserving specimens before I made the long drive, and making sure I had all the necessary supplies to take care of the froglets at home. It was also great finding a supplier who had captive-bred specimens (which cost more than wild-caught ones due to fairly long development cycle, but are healthier and better for the native ecosystems).
