Black rough neck monitors are a semi-arboreal species that can get 3-5’ native to Southeast Asia. Due to their size and active nature they will need a large enclosure. Rough neck monitors can live 15-20+ years making them a big commitment pet. These monitors are for the experienced keeper as they do require training to become docile and also be cautious of their feeding responses. While they can be shy or flighty, When properly raised, they can become incredibly affectionate, interactive companions.
