Giant day geckos are an arboreal species of gecko that can get 8-12” native to Madagascar. Due to their size, at minimum, they won’t need a huge enclosure but still a decent size. Giant day geckos can live 15-20 years making them a big commitment pet. Because they are skittish, very fast, and can get stressed very easily, these geckos are more of a display pet. They are also prone to ripping their skin off as a defense mechanism when distressed.
