Due to their size they will need a large enclosure. European legless lizards can live 30-50 years making them a big commitment pet. These lizards are best suited as display pets as they prefer to be left alone in their environment and prefer to view their surroundings. Handling causes them stress, which can trigger tail drops, hissing, or spinning in your hands.
