File snakes are a terrestrial burrowing snake native to Africa. These snakes get up to 3-4ft. Due to their size, they won’t need a huge enclosure like others but still a decent size. File snakes can live up to 15-20 years making them a big commitment pet. Though they can be quite squirmy, File snakes make good pets as they can be docile, and easygoing as they mature with proper handling. These snakes tend to emit a foul-smelling musk over biting.
