African fat tailed geckos are a terrestrial species that can get 7-12” native to West Africa. Due to their size, at minimum, they won’t need a huge enclosure but still a decent size. African fat tailed geckos can live 15-20+ years making them a big commitment pet. Though they can be a bit skittish as babies, with proper handling, African fat tailed geckos make great pets for first time lizard owners due to their calm and docile nature.
