Description

Stitch is a Leo that came in due to the previous home not knowing how to care for her. Someone saw the condition she was in and rescued her to bring to us. She lived in a 10gal tank with nothing but a towel as substate. Because of this there was no humidity which resulted with her having layers of shed built up on her. She was only being fed dried mealworms but wasn't able to eat because she couldn't see from the eye infection in both eyes and mouth rot, which resulted in her being so skinny. Stitch has been with us since 4/1/2024. She was soaking every day to help with the stuck shed. She had to get special eye cream to help with her eyes and had to be syringe fed every day. We started seeing progress around the 2-month mark with her being able to see and move around more. Stitch is now able to eat on her own. She loves crickets, roaches, and a variety of worms!

We unfortunately don't have any background as age and such but if we were to guess she may be about 1-2 years old or so.

She can be a little timid when initially taking her out of the enclosure but once she's being handled, she loves to crawl on you and sometimes will lay on you. She does have trouble holding onto anything because she lost all of her toes due to stuck shed. She will need an enclosure that doesn't have too much for climbing structures as she may fall. When it comes to handing her, she will slip off of you if you aren't careful. Just be mindful that she needs assistance sometimes when being handled!

Stitch is now that happiest and healthiest she's been and is now ready to find her new forever home!
