Crested geckos are an arboreal species that can get 8-10” native to New Caledonia. Due to their size, they won’t need a huge enclosure but still a decent size. Crested geckos can live 15-20+ years making them a big commitment pet. Though they can be a bit skittish as babies, with proper handling, crested geckos make great pets for first time lizard owners due to their calm and docile nature. They are also prone to dropping their tails when distressed.
