Veiled chameleons are an arboreal species that can get 10-24” (Females being smaller) native to southwestern Arabian Peninsula. Established wild breeding populations can also be found in parts of Florida and Hawaii as a result of the pet trade. Due to their size and active nature they will need a large enclosure. Veiled chameleons can live 4-8 years, males living longer. Even though they don't live as long as other reptiles, they are still a big commitment pet. These chameleons are best suited as display pets as they prefer to be left alone in their environment and prefer to view their surroundings. They are known to be shy and territorial.
