Leopard geckos are a terrestrial species that can get 7-10” native to South and Central Asia. Due to their size, at minimum, they won’t need a huge enclosure but still a decent size. Leopard geckos can live 15-20+ years making them a big commitment pet. Though they can be a bit skittish as babies, with proper handling, Leopard geckos make great pets for first time lizard owners due to their calm and docile nature.
