Chamaeleo calyptratus 'Veiled Chameleon' "Willow" 11 Months Old MBD

Willow is a young Veiled Chameleon that suffers from severe MBD. This results in her arms being oddly shaped, making it harder for her to climb and move properly. She is able to walk around but not as efficient as other chameleons. Because of this, she is not able to climb very high and is at risk for falling. She will need a lower enclosure with lower branches/decor for her to climb on that is more horizontal. She likes to eat roaches, mealworms, waxworms, and phoenix worms. We will put those bugs in a dish with D3 calcium where she can easily get to them. She is capable of eating on her own without assistance. Willow can also have crickets and will try to chase them. Try not to put too many crickets in at a time as they may bother her and she won't want to eat them.

Willow does ok with handling. She can get a little timid at first but as she isn't able to hold onto you too well, you will need to brace her and guide her with your hands, so she doesn't fall. She typically will just sit on you and look around.

Willow will do well in a home that is able to be there to monitor her needs all the time and give her that extra TLC she needs!
