Not for beginners. While they have no venom and don't bite, These are healthy, Easy to care for, low maintenance, and while they grow very large, these are currently very, very small and delicate, and blindingly fast and extremely skittish, timid creatures. Therefore an inexperienced handler could lose or damage it, possibly killing it. So while no risk is posed to the handler's health, a HUGE amount of care should be taken while handling these, and handling should be avoided until they get bigger. However if you do everything right, they should live and grow nicely. I bought one a few weeks ago and almost lost it but was able to find and contain it. it just molted earlier this evening, I'm happy to know it's growing and surviving. This is a really cool little animal that can help you get some awesome footage of a very bizarre looking process and also when it gets bigger, scare off unwanted intruders. I still don't know whether it's a male or female and have no idea when I will know.
